Who we are:

Mary Alpers, CFP® is President of Alpers Financial Planning, Inc.  Mary is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, an Enrolled Agent (EA), and holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Finance from Golden Gate University in California. She has worked in the financial planning field since 2002 and began Alpers Financial Planning in 2004. Mary is a member of and serves on the Board of Directors of ACA Planners (www.acaplanners.org), a non-profit organization of fee-only financial advisors, and is a member of NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (www.napfa.com). Both organizations foster a fiduciary, comprehensive, no commission approach to financial planning. She is also a member of FPA, the Financial Planning Association (www.fpanet.org). Prior experience includes a tax preparation practice and working as a productivity analyst for a pharmaceutical company in Silicon Valley.

Mary regularly writes and speaks on financial topics and has been quoted in numerous financial articles.

Other professional organizations include NATP, The National Association of Tax Practitioners (www.natptax.com).

Robert “Jeff” Alpers is Treasurer/Secretary of Alpers Financial Planning, Inc. Jeff accumulated 30 years of management/engineering experience at Pacific Bell/SBC Communications, before taking an early retirement to pursue entrepreneurial work. Jeff holds a degree in Mathematics from Sacramento State University in California. In addition to Jeff’s administration and managerial contributions to Alpers Financial Planning, he runs a thriving business as a gifted guitar instructor and musician.

Michelle Williamson is the Office Manager and Assistant to Mary. Michelle has excellent strategic and administrative skills and recently completed a business degree at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, with honors.
